Christmas is fast-approaching, and as everyone prepares to assemble their trees and hang up stockings in time for the festive season, there are some entertaining local activities to get involved with too.
Here at Keys & Lee, we are proud to be part of and support the wide range of events that are taking place in the East London community.
One of the events we will be sponsoring is Santa’s Grotto at St Patrick’s School PTA Christmas Bazaar, which will be held in Parish Hall in Loweshoe Lane on Friday 30th November.
The active group of parents, teachers and school staff come together to organise fundraising events and activities throughout the school year, with all funds raised going towards school trips and activities.
Running from 3.30pm-5.30pm, the Christmas Bazaar will feature a choir, raffle, refreshments and food, games, novelty stocking fillers and sweet treats for the children to enjoy. As this goes towards a good cause, we are honoured to be involved.
Getting further into the Christmas spirit, the Collier Row Community Group is hosting their annual Christmas event. Taking place in Romford on Friday 7th December from 4pm-8pm, the ‘Follow the Star’ event will encourage children to follow the start to the 4-star stamping stations before heading over to greet Santa at Chigwell Centre, where they will also receive a nice gift.
Visitors will also be able to:
- Go on the rides in the high street (near Dominos)
- See the reindeers outside F Barnes Solicitors
- Enjoy hot chocolates and doughnuts
- See the live nativity at Accesion Church
- Enjoy the Christmas Craft stalls in Church
- Witness the light switch on at 6.30pm.
To coincide with this, we will be extending our closing time to 8pm on this date at our Collier Road branch. Anyone who wants to bask in the Christmas cheer is free to pop in and have a chat with us about our services and other ways we can help. We will be providing Christmas drinks, mince pies, hot drinks and other snacks.
